Images are an essential part of any document to visualize the facts and figures in graphical representation. Google Docs offer various features to modify the text and edit images, such as adding text in front of the image, saving images in different formats, etc. In this blog, we explain two methods for saving an image in Google Docs.

Let’s start with the first method.
Method 1: Save to Keep Option to Save an Image From Google Docs
Google Docs provides an interesting feature to save an image from a current document. In this feature, users can choose the “Save to Keep” option to store an image in the specified document. The step-by-step guidance is provided here.
Open an existing document in which an image is already placed here, as shown in the below figure.
Click the right button of the mouse cursor on the image and hover over the “View more actions”. It generates the dropdown list of different options; select the “Save to Keep” option from the list.
After selecting the desired option, a side window is generated. Click the right button on the image and select the option “Save image as” in the pop-up window, as shown in the below figure.
After clicking the button, rename the file as “Flowers.jpg” and hit the “Save” button in the window below. While you have the option to specify the folder in the local system.
The screenshot below shows that the image “Flower.jpg” has been downloaded.
Method 2: Download a Web Page to Save an Image From Google Docs
An alternative method is considered for storing the image from Google Docs. In this method, select the “Download” option from the “File” tab of the menu bar. It generates the dropdown list with various options. Choose the “Web Page” option to store a zip folder.
After pressing the “Web Page” option, the zip folder “My_Docs.zip” is downloaded, as shown in the below figure.
After extraction of the “My_Docs.zip” folder, an “image1.jpg” is stored in the “images” folder, which can be verified in the below screenshot.
